The rules of news groups generally require that you read the FAQ and don't ask questions that are already epxlained there. We don't enforce these rules here, but please don't abuse that. > but for us newbies it's easier to communicate with people instead of > a large file filled with unknown phrases and stuff. It is always easier to ask a question and expect others to do the digging in the FAQ for you. But I don't consider that a nice behavior, and neither should you. Please keep in mind that when you ask a question from the FAQ, people who answer you waste their time looking up the FAQ for you, by and large they don't know those answers by heart (even I don't). So you simply trade your time for theirs. The FAQ was intended to be easy to search. There's the Table of Contents at the beginning and two large indices at the end of it. They should land you on the right spot very quickly. If they don't, please tell here and the FAQ will be improved in the next release. > onece I get to know the program I intend to read the FAQ as the problems > avolves .....but isn't this newsgroup here to help newbies as oldies ?????? It is. But the FAQ is written for newbies, not for oldies. When you ``get to know the program'', you usually don't need the FAQ anymore.
