Allegro is distributed in source form so you must build it first before trying to build programs that use it. To do this cd to your djgpp\allegro directory and type "make all" (no quotes) and press enter. This should build everything including all the example programs. Be patient because it can take more than 5 minutes to complete as allegro is a large library.
