Try going to Project menu, and choose "close project". Then re-open the file you wish to compile, make and run and you should be set to go. For whatever reason, I had the same problems that Rhide would always start with a project open. The only way to solve this (for me anyway) was to open rhide from my /djgpp/bin directory, close the project (which I didn't realize I had open), choose Save Options from the options menu. Exit out of rhide. Then go back into rhide from your working directory (mine is /djgpp/programs) and if you check your project menu "close project" should be greyed out. Stuart *shoot... after re-reading your message, it appears I typed the wrong diagnosis. I'd never make a good doctor, I guess.
