Does g77 > "include" f2c? What exactly is the difference? Which is better? g77 itself has not exactly grown from f2c. Only its runtime library, libg2c, has. Originally, g77 shipped with no runtime at all, telling you to get the libf2c from the regular f2c distribution and use that. At least that's what I remember it to have been like. Later on, they started using a modified libf2c, so they renamed it to 'libg2c' to avoid conflicts, in case someone wanted to use both g77 and f2c on the same system. -- Hans-Bernhard Broeker (broeker AT physik DOT rwth-aachen DOT de) Even if all the snow were burnt, ashes would remain.
