Hundreds of DJGPP users have both Make and RHIDE working for them on Windows 98 with no problems at all. So either your problem happens because of some system configuration snafu peculiar to your installation, or you have managed to trigger a bug that is very rare and happens under very specific circumstances. Both of these alternatives require a lot of details about the specific conditions when the crashes happen, and detailed descriptions of what exactly happens when it crashes (any error messages, etc.). However, you didn't supply *any* of these details, so I doubt if anybody could help you.
