Whenever I try to work with the GUIs, my mouse almost always doesn't work. I mean it moves around and stuff, but it doesn't click. I'm making a menu demo with keyboard shortcuts. Now, when I punch in the shortcuts, the menues (&File, &Edit...) all work, then the arrow keys take over selecting the right thing from the menu (&New, &Open, E&xit...). That all works. What doesn't work is the mouse! It moves around when I push it (oh, geez) and a little funny hand thingy appears on the screen (man, oh, man). But when I click on the menu, it doesn't pull down! I wonder if getting a cat would help...Anyway. I should say that I'm using DJGPP and RHIDE and Allegro and that stuff...I have a Logitech (Yay!) super-duper mouse (which I got for my (twelveth) birthday (and considering that I'm 12 right now, it's pretty darn new!)) mouse...And all the basic neccessities of computer life (what the inferno? (hehe)). Another thing I failed to mention: when I run other apps using the mouse (like the Allegro examples), they work. If you think I should post some of my code, then sure. If you want the prog (it's pretty small), e-mail me. Just remember, don't be drunk and drive!...errr...Don't let friends drive drunk...errr....Always use a..AAAAHHH!!! (we (finally) finished s*xed for Grade 6)). Anywho. I hope you don't find this message...Scary. --§max (The Fire-Breathing Penguin) P.S. I'm not as dumb as I look! Then again... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - "Who said 12-year-olds can't program a descent game?"
