As for the lib, it's a math and encryption library, and AFAIK written as a gcc port of the SSH lib. Unfortunately, it isn't even open source, let alone GPL or LGPL. Also, at least in the archive I have (2.0.8 tar.gz format), there are no docs, except those that are in the header files.
