I stubled across something today. I noticed that sometimes, some programs compiled under DJGPP would take a second [literally 1 or 2 seconds] to start. Examples are "Rhide" 1.4 and the "ls" command that comes with the DOS version of BASH. I realized this only happens when I am connected to the internet, and I also noticed that my "Bytes recieved" and "Bytes sent" jump whenever I run these programs. "ls" seems to send ~ 350bytes and recieve ~ 250bytes consistantly. Rhide send about 700bytes. Does anyone know what is being sent, how I could find out what is being send, for what reason it is being sent, or how I can stop it?
