You sure you've read the documents? How about the FAQ? It sounds to me like
you haven't modified your autoexec.bat file. Put the following lines in
towards the end of your file.

SET DJGPP=C:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV
SET PATH=C:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH%
