Unzipped the file (with WinZip 7.0) to C:\ Cd c:\gnu\texinfo3.12 Since I presume there is a ready makefile, (although the README file is ambiguous on what directory I should be in) I typed 'make' in that directory. "A required dll cygwin.dll was not found" This tells me that when I deleted the cygnus ports on my machine I must have left some variable set wrong. Does anyone know how to make this right without reinstalling djgpp and all the gnu utilities? I tried running the config.bat file in the /gnu/texinfo3.12/djgpp directory but all I got was Configuring GNU Texinfo for DJGPP v2.x... Updating configuration scripts... File `configure.orig' created Cannot open src file No USERNAME and no USER found in the environment, using default values Running the ./configure script... Bad command or file name ./configure script exited abnormally! -- Michael Tuchman A Great way to avoid flame wars: all.SCORE has ("vs\\.?" -1000 nil r)
