Try to set SET LEN=y before you start RHIDE or run RHIDE like rhide -y ... and see if this solves your problem. But in general, you should read the DJGPP FAQ about the possible LFN-problems and also (if you use gcc 2.8.1, what I assume) the readme's which come with gcc.
