I've disabled native dpmi support, set the disk cache as I've seen suggested (2 meg) and have cwsdpmi available. A simple C++ program (well, uses list<> and string, maybe not so simple) takes over ten minutes to compile. Is this hardware configuration just not usable, or am I missing something in my software configuration? If you have djgpp running under drdos on similar hardware, could you email me your config files? Suggest straight MSDOS? Or feel free to tell me I wasted a C-note on this old laptop... Thanks, --skip--
