Can ->you confirm this? No I can't, all of my 'pif's' are unchecked in that aspect, but EVERY one of then are 'fixed' in terms of XMS. If, some some unknown reason, the dj programs are not detecting an xms driver, are they attempting to load, err, I forget the name of the dj driver. (?). Also, I've found that using the default screen mode causes problems, it's best to select the same mode with which the program is setting the screen mode. I ran into a message, 'windows cannot run this program because of the screen mode it's using' when I first setup INFO to use it's 43 line mode. I hope this helps because I haven't had any problems beyond this and getting the illegal memory operation when using auto for the XMS.
