I just got into this problem yesterday when I zipped up the source distribution I'm working on, and moved it to my 386, no FPU, DOS6.22 test box to make sure the executable can be built from the source on the minimal djgpp platform. I've deviated enough from the mainstream MidnightCommander distribution that a few more hacks won't matter.
