If I boot Win95, it runs (i) by double-clicking on the icon, a DOS- window is started then, or (ii) by starting it from the MS-DOS prompt in the MS-DOS window under Win95. No problem. It is only when I boot the machine into MS-DOS prompt only, that when I start emacs it starts and immediately returns to the MS-DOS prompt. I have set LFN=Y and LFN=N, none seem to help. Can anyone help me? -Arild
