To: djgpp AT delorie DOT com MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Precedence: bulk Mr. Delorie, A year ago I let you know that I had built a little IDE for DJGPP, intended for beginners, called Lookout. My students are using it now. A problem that we're having is that the IDE gets confused sometimes due to the use of DOS variables. Windows, Novell, DOS... it's hard to get them to talk to each other consistently. It would be much, much simpler and smoother, if DJGPP didn't need to use DOS variables. Is it possible to recompile DJGPP so that it gets its information in some other way, such as a Windows file or even hard-coded for this particular application? Much obliged for your help. A lot of students, who are trying to use it in intro classes, would appreciate it, too! == Glenn David Blank gdb0 AT lehigh DOT edu EECS Dept, 19 Packard Lab office: 610-758-4867 Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA 18015 fax: 610-758-6279 Web page: www.eecs.lehigh.edu/~glennb I wrote a book about computer science: The Universal Machine Visit the web page: www.eecs.lehigh.edu/~glennb/um/um.htm _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
