Do you invoke enscript with any options at all? If so, maybe one or more of these options cause the printer to choose A3 paper? If that doesn't help, the only other idea I have is to try some other program that can produce PS files and see if the same wrong tray is selected then as well (which might mean that the printer somehow selects that tray for any PS job). For example, Emacs has a `ps-print-buffer' command that attempts to pretty-print a buffer to a PS printer.
