I am coding in Pascal from sometime now and have recently shifted to DJGPP and now i want to make my own 3d engine so i wanted to know that where can I get some theoritical doc explaining 3d engines in depth. It wont be any problem if the doc is in Postscript rather it'll help me. I really am in a great need of input about 3d engine if anybody can answer some or all the questions i'll be great ful. 1. How to implement a converted ASC file (from 3ds) in vga i.e. how to use the info in ASC 2. What are portals in 3d engines 3. What is Radiosity or Radioray 4. What is the difference between Phong illumination and Phong shading 5. And last but most important "Can somebody give me an overview of the functioning of 3d engines and types of 3d engines" are 3d engines used oly in games like doom (i know it is ot 3d), dukem nuklem or in raytracing programs like POV-Ray also. help me
