It can be found here: http://www.canvaslink.com/allegro/xwinallegro/ There are full-source distribution and patch distribution for Allegro-3.0 from simtel. Also read index.html, xwallegro.html and ChangeLog.xwin. I suggest to read, at least, "Installation instructions" and "Tuning XwinAllegro performance" sections in xwallegro.html. Description: XwinAllegro is a port of Allegro to X-Windows. It is not for DJGPP, it is for Unix platforms. Features: XwinAllegro supports most of Allegro features. There are no joystick and native MIDI support, but MIDI is supported through DIGMID driver. You can find instrument patches for DIGMID driver on Allegro home-page: http://www.talula.demon.co.uk/allegro/ Known problems: There are no known problems. It is possible, that XwinAllegro will not work on architectures other than Intel386+. I have tested it only with Linux RedHat-4.2 i586. Also, it is possible, that gcc is required as a compiler.
