It would be more useful if you could verify that the problem persists 
even if you invoke Emacs with "emacs -q".  Then anybody can try to 
reproduce your problem without bothering about your init file.

Also, please post your system configuration files (CONFIG.SYS and
AUTOEXEC.BAT).
