There is a WSS module for mikmod, which I'm using. If you want to make your own soundsystem, you can take it apart. I've got sources for many .mod players, but if you look at the larger projects on ftp.cdrom.com/pub/demos/code/music (or whatever) you should find enough code to do something. However there is a bug in this wss code that prevents it from "starting from cold" on my card, (you have to run DMP 3.1 first), presumably this only affects some cards (or the author would have noticed)
