Like this:

char *path = getenv( "COMSPEC" );
execl( path, path, NULL );

This causes a DOS shell, with your program still loaded. There isn't
any other way, the normal DOS keep function is not supported.

I think this is discussed in the INFO pages, unfortunately I can't
find it now that I look for it.
