Surely this is to do with the compilier and not the format of the executable? GCC 2.8.? doesn't have the template instantiation problems that earlier versions had. Though better dynamically linked libraries would be a good idea (to reduce hard disk usage) but I've heard that DOS is not a good enough OS to handle them properly. David.
