I'm also new to DJGPP, but not to programming. So, here's my problem: I got KERNEL2.ZIP from the DJGPP-Server (I think, it's a long time ago). For those who do not know: it's a os-source written in DJGPP. Not very much, just a test. I got the thing to compile after a few modifications (some warnings). When I make a floppy, I can boot from it, and the screen says "Hi there", but then my computer suddenly reboots. The other computer I tested just hanged. What's the problem? IMHO it could be because I fixed "copyboot.c", the program which copies the files to the disk. There was a problem with a void pointer which was used for arithmetical operations. But I don't know how to fix the thing to work. thanks andy -- Clarke's Third Law: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." mailto:hal AT rave DOT at
