The C++ components of DJGPP are 'v2gnu/gpp280b.zip' and 'v2gnu/lgpp280b.zip', assuming that you are also using gcc280b.zip. If you are using gcc2721b.zip, then you need gpp2721b.zip and lgp271b.zip instead. The two versions are not compatible; you should delete all files from any previous version before upgrading to the new one. Of course, you need the core C compiler as well (djdev201.zip, gcc2721/280b.zip, bnu281b.zip). You unzip the files in exactly the same way as you do the rest of the DJGPP packages; from your main DJGPP directory, preserving the directory structure in the zipfiles. Do you have one of the following: %DJDIR%/bin/cc1plus.exe, or %DJDIR%/lib/gcc-lib/djgpp/2.80/cc1plus.exe? If the former, then you have 2.7.2.1. If the latter, you have 2.8.0. Have you only tried compiling C++ programs, or can you also not compile C programs? If you can't compile anything at all, then you've probably configured your environment incorrectly; see 'readme.1st' for instructions. If you are still stuck, post a complete system report as outlined in chapter 6.12 of the DJGPP Frequently Asked Questions list. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- | John M.
