It isn't true! Allegro only ever writes out uncompressed bitmap files: there is no code for saving RLE images. I'm sorry, and you are right!!! I opened the file with Corel 6.0 and it showed detailed information: - It is BMP UMCOMPRESSED file, but - It is *OS/2 SUBFORMAT* instead of the WINDOWS subformat I need.
