Even my old > programs work, and I don't think I changed anything. Please help! The only way I know of to disable DPMI under Windows 95 is to run it in the MS-DOS Mode. Tell your friends not to do that and run your programs from the DOS box instead, and everything will be fine. Alternatively, you could send them CWSDPMI.EXE which will let them run the programs in plain DOS as well.
