Could these programs use DJDIR to > compute the default paths instead of using hard-coded "c:/djgpp/..."? my base directory also is d:\djgpp. i never used groff but the programs from the TeX package do use DJDIR to compute the default paths (at least on my system) because i never had to set any other environemnt variables than +TEXMF=%DJDIR%/share/texmf +TEXMFCNF=.;$SELFAUTODIR/share/texmf/web2c;%DJDIR%/share/texmf/web2c as eli mentions in the readme for TeX. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- A.
