Emacs 19.34 was uploaded to SimTel.NET several times, each time with more enhancements and bugfixes. The last upload was in the last days of December 1997. Make sure you have that last release. > If, for example, I went to the GNU site and downloaded version 20.2, it > wouldn't be able to use the Windows clipboard, since you added that > functionality to the version available in the djgpp archives. Am I correct > there? No, this is incorrect. DJGPP-specific features and bugfixes added to Emacs 19.34 are included in the GNU sources of subsequent versions, since I submit every change to the Emacs maintainers. In particular, the clipboard support is part of the official GNU sources of Emacs 20.2. However, if you are serious about building v20.2, I suggest to apply some DJGPP-specific patches first (I can mail them to you), since the stock release has a couple of problems which I already fixed. (I don't intend to make a binary release of Emacs 20.2 because I still couldn't test some of its major new features.)
