If some of you are using (for example) Allegro for graphics, and all the time wonder: "Now why in the hell that was faster than this one...", I'd suggest you to make your own little graphics lib (Steel's programming resources has a good link list about this) and realise, that YOU can actually make things to happen quicklier, than someone else can. (and the code is easier to understand) Now, don't kill me for saying this. Allegro and Xlib etc. are great things to start with. It's just my opinion... -Henri Ossi "In October I was a lamer.
