This is because of a not full tested (is this ever possible??) DJGPP port of gdb. Maybe when I have the time, I'll send the needed patches to the gdb maintainer (or someone else does it) and the it should work. The 'ps' register is the 'eflags' register, which is called so on some i386 systems ("processor status register").
