Probably this is the reason. Have you tried at least to apply the patches which I provide in the diffs/ directory for libc and the gdb 4.16 sources? If not, please try after applying them (AFAIK I mentioned it in the READMES's). But I will also try to check what patches against the needed standard packages are needed to recompile and use RHIDE successfully.
