For example, one of my CDs[1] shows up in cdplayer.ini with ID number D1E113. Going to a DOS prompt and doing a dir on it gave the following: F:\DRR>dir l: Volume in drive L is Audio CD Volume Serial Number is 00D1-E113 Directory of L:\ 01/01/95 12:00a . 01/01/95 12:00a .. 01/01/95 12:00a 44 Track01.cda 01/01/95 12:05a 44 Track02.cda and so on. The ID is stored on the CD as the last 6 bytes of it's serial number. Hope this is Useful Information (tm). Dave -- David Richardson drr AT chpc DOT utah DOT edu "Oh dear. What a pity. Never mind." [1]: The CD was _Kansas_ "The Best of Kansas", just in case anyone was wondering. Now, what should I listen to next: Journey, Metallica, R.E.M., or Yanni?
