It may be true, that mentioning the patched ln.exe was not the best solution, but I wrote in the readme also an other alternative by changing the configure script before running configure.bat. But now, after I rebuild the binutils, I got (like Ed too) an other problem. When I made the port, I had patch version 2.1 or so installed which worked ok, but with the current patch version 2.5 it will not work, except you give on commandline the "-p 0" switch. This might be a bug in patch or feature of it. And as a last note: The next time I will try to make a port which is ready to compile, but this will need more work.
