You need to download and install these applications (they are all 
available from the DJGPP sites), but you don't need to know anything 
about them.

I didn't know that Robert used a patched ln.exe which is not available in 
binary form anywhere.  IMHO, this is an unfortunate decision on Robert's 
part.  I'd guess if you ask nicely enough, Robert would send you the 
binary he used, though.

It should be.  If it is not, please report it as a bug in the ported 
package.  In particular, users should not need to patch their utilities 
to build a package.
