The DB, DW and DD pseudo-ops do not exist in GAS. They come from TASM/MASM where they stand for something like "Data {Byte,Word,Doubleword}". Their equivalents in GAS are, respectively, `.byte', `.word' (and I think also `.short'), and `.long'. Hope this helps. Nate Eldredge eldredge AT ap DOT net
