When DOS sees a pathname like "/usr/lib", it looks for it on the current drive. It does NOT search all drives. On every machine I've seen, floppies *are* connected to the IDE. Anyway, DOS doesn't care about the disk interface, it doesn't even know how the different disks are connected.
