There are at least 3 different ways to search through the docs: - press `s' and type a string: searches in the current manual - press `i' and type a string: searches through the index of the current manual - type `Alt-x index-apropos RET string RET': searches in all indices of all the manuals that are installed on your system When you don't know in which manual to look, the last option is the most powerful. Did you use one of these methods?
