The ES1868 is Soundblaster Pro compatible, so you shouldn't need a separate library. It sounds pretty crap in native DOS Audiodrive mode (at least what I've heard from games I've tried, eg Descent); and although it sounds alright under Windows in what I presume is its decent native mode, it doesn't sound *that* much better than an SBPro. Although you're talking DSP and not music, I suppose this is as good a place as any to express my interest in a library, or some information, on how to use its enhanced FM music synthesis (ESFM), which is better than the standard OPL chips (although not as good as a GUS or AWE32 :-( ). -- Tom Seddon
