Wiskunde & Informatica, VU, Amsterdam Lines: 22 Message-ID: <67o872$r7t$1@star.cs.vu.nl> NNTP-Posting-Host: sloep103.cs.vu.nl To: djgpp AT delorie DOT com DJ-Gateway: from newsgroup comp.os.msdos.djgpp Precedence: bulk With EMACS 19.34 (the latest version, without the bugs :-) I noticed the following behaviour, which I think is wrong: I type: C-x C-f "d:/tmp/con" And then I never return to EMACS again, even after trying C-z, C-d, C-c and C-g. Only C-A-DEL helps after that. I am sure it is because `CON' is a reserved filename under DOS, but maybe EMACS could check that? DJGPP-specific or just DOS-specific? Is there something I can do about it without recompiling EMACS? How is this handled in EMACS 20? I'm very happy with EMACS though, thanx Eli! -- Groeten, Michel. http://www.cs.vu.nl/~mdruiter \----/==\----/ \ / \ / "You know, Beavis, you need things that suck, \/ \/ to have things that are cool", Butt-Head.
