I think that you have got me over that hill. Now I have to get accustomed to the gnu way of interfacing C/C++ and assembly language and I will be where I want to be. It will be a question of the speed of the gnu executables--remind me once more what the "fastest possible code" switch looks like on the line gxx example.cc -o example.exe Thanks again and Merry Christmas to all.
