Yes there is, but is sort of a hack, requires one knows the modes of its video card specifically. Also I don't know if it will work in forthcoming versions (Eli can you enlight on this?). Anyway, I recomend the original poster "gets his/her hands" on Emacs with mode4350 first, before higher resolutions be attempted.
