I have artice about GNU there with small comparsion benchmark of various compilers (gcc, wc, vc, plan9, bc etc...). It uses ftp mandelbrot loop from my program. But I am still receiving letters, that such bechmark is irrelevant, since it compares just very small code and does not show anything. Only think I wanted to show whas, that gcc is comparable with commercial compilers (and beat them all in this particual case). But I must agree, that such small bechmark does not show much. Do you have any good test for optimizer, that should be used for such bechmark? Any ideas? Honza --
