What makes you think I didn't read it? Because I asked just what zoneinfo 
was used for? Did it ever occur to you the FAQ may not explain it very well?

And you wonder why being told to reread something that you've previously 
read a number of times before that didn't answer the question you had would 
serve to infuriate someone...
