Can anyone suggest a faster way? -- Walter Luke aka "Night Watchman" mailto:NightWatchman AT Sacrilege DOT com Visit Shadows at http://shadows.sacrilege.com swers they need in the FAQ should tell you : something about FAQ. Which is that it's not meeting the needs of the users. Which needs is it not meeting? As John pointed out, Eli has put a great deal of effort into the FAQ and continues to do so. If you think this section is not clear enough or not complete enough, perhaps you should (politely) tell him in what way it is insufficient so that he can correct this. I'm sure he'll view your suggestions with an open mind and if they're useful he will probably incorporate them into the next revision. Simply saying that `people aren't finding the answers they need' isn't very helpful, however; it would be better to suggest *why* they aren't finding their answers. IMHO though the reason they're not finding answers is because they're not looking. I have personally found answers to many many questions I was about to ask here within the FAQ -- I think it does its jobs (answering people's questions before they ask them, providing verbose answers after they ask them, and also providing general technical information on using obscure aspects of djgpp) remarkably well. -- george DOT foot AT merton DOT oxford DOT ac DOT uk
