Funny thing is if I remove one of the virtual base classes everything goes fine. The class in question is really small so I don't expect problems in the class itself. I saw in the mail archives someone else mentioning problems with virtual base classes that the code would compile and give runtime errors. Is this correct? Should I avoid using virtual base classes in DJGPP? Doug Eleveld
