How exactly do you configure it? Copy all the header files to the disk on startup? I have an 8Mb machine, and I realise this is not recommended, but I though I might play with it and lower the smartdrive settings as increasing smartdrive from 2Mb to 3Mb had no noticable effect, so I figured I could try a 1Mb RAMDISK. If anyone has successfully set up a RAMDISK with 8Mb ( or even 16Mb, I am thinking of upgrading soon), please send me a copy of your config.sys and autoexec.bat (maybe just a portion of it that is relevant to DJGPP setup) - but send it by private email! Don't make the poor NG/mailing list put up with it. Also, are you just using RAMDISK.SYS from MSDOS, or are there some (free) ones I can get off the internet? I have Win95 :(, which doesn't have RAMDISK.SYS, but I do have MSDOS 6.22 at home (not here at uni.), just be a while before I can get it. Thanks Brett -- "Who here believes in telekenesis?
