It is not clear from your message why do you need to know that. AFAIK, nothing in DJGPP depends on having a Unix-like directory structure on your machine. Please explain why are you bothered by this; having the explanation will probably help answer your question in an efficient way. (Btw, don't use "/~etc": it will usually fail, even on Unix.)
