DJGPP is gcc ported to Intel x86 DOS. I see no reason to expect it to run on an Alpha machine. Your problem isn't about running out of memory, it's about executing invalid instructions! (Note: NT may look the same on an Alpha as it does on an Intel, but the assembler/compiled code is not the same, unless you're running in some machine code emulator mode on the Alpha that I don't know about.) --------------- Peter Berdeklis Dept. of Physics, Univ. of Toronto
