This didn't go well. I switched to DJGPP dir and typed the above. The machine laughed in my face and said "make exe. *** No rule to make target 'djgpp'. Stop." Granted, this is better than 'badtarget', but I feel something is still amiss. > Incidentally, what are the "files" you downloaded? AFAIK, there is only one > file: ALLEG22.ZIP. My misinformation. I meant that I downloaded all the files that the DJGPP quick-zip said I should and alleg22.zip. If it's any help, I'm using rhide 1.4 as an editor ( Robert, should you read this, FANTASTIC!!, Borland should be hanging their heads in shame), but I didn't use it to make this file. > > Nate Eldredge > eldredge AT ap DOT net Thank-you for the help so far but as you can see, I'm somewhere between 'lost' and 'hasn't got a clue'. BTW, in my autoexec.bat file (yeah, I'm using Win 3.11 ...what's wrong with that? (Many snickers and stiffled gaffaws)) there is: set PATH = C:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH% set DJGPP = C:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV Hope this helps you to help me, Frank
